Departures: Everyday (Ends in La Paz or Puno)
Duration: 3 days / 2 nights
Day 1. – La Paz – Copacabana – Island of the Sun.
Pick up hotel and departure to Copacabana. Accomodation at Hotel Rosario del Lago. Visit the local church, the image of the Virgen, the local market and hike to the Calvary Hill. Lunch and dinner on your own.
Day 2. – Visits the North side of Island of the Sun – The Sacred Temple of the Chincana
Breakfast and boat trip to Sun Island to visit Pilkocaina Palace, the Yumani Community, the Royal Fountain and the Inca Staircase. Start a 4-hour walk to Chincana temple through the tiny Challampampa Village and its local museum. (Optional boat trip from Yumani to Chalapampa) Enjoy a Box-lunch picnic at site. Return to Copacabana. Dinner is on your own. (B, BL)
Day 3. Copacabana – Bus to Puno or La Paz
Breakfast and free morning. Optional hike up to the ancient
astronomical observatory La Horca del Inca and to Kusijata to
visit the Inca´s bath. Lunch on your own. Touristic transport bus to La Paz or connection to Puno. (B)
